Have eaten Dim Sum here twice now. Nice change from West Valley and South. Tasted fresh, no barnyard flavor that some get. Service was excellent, variety was solid, could be more. Haven't tried the menu dishwasher than the Beef Chow Fun. Was only thing that I'm used to better. But for being in town and close to airport extra half star.

The Hong Kong Tea House is special. The building is charming with its decorative and colorful facade. As you enter the deep green and red walls are warm and welcoming. The tables and chairs are filled with tradition and the beautiful inlaid mother of pearl transports you to the experience you are about to have. Each wall is tastefully adorned with traditional artwork. Our server was attentive and we ordered across the menu to get a taste of the large offering. We didn't arrive in town early enough for the Dim Sum service, but there were enough dumplings on the dinner menu to convince us to come back for the full experience. We loved our meal, enjoying every dish. One dish came with shrimp dumplings, which was a surprise because the menu just said 'dumpling.' We ordered enough that we could enjoy the leftovers later that evening, and we ate every bite. They offer tea service as well, but we didn't do it this time. They also have a variety of tea pots and sets for reasonable prices.

An unexpected diamond in the rough! Though the Hong Kong Tea House does not sit in the glamorous part of town, it serves very good, authentic dimsum in a tasteful, traditional setting. The items are ordered off the menu rather than from carts. The service is friendly, but the team could benefit from an extra member or two. As its name suggests, this eatery seems to focus on quality teas, and also sells tea-related supplies that may appeal to true tea fans.

I lived in Guangdong, China, for 11 years, and this is easily the most authentic Cantonese-style restaurant you'll find in Utah. They serve dim sum every day until 3 PM, and you can even special order Beijing duck with 48 hours' notice--truly a hidden gem!

When we come to SLC, sadly only four times a year, this is the only place we go to eat out. We are so addicted to their dimsum, something we were introduced to while living in Southeast Asia. If you have not had dimsum, it is a very fun experience! Kind of like Chinese Tapas. If you have, know that this is a smaller, family operation but with an amazingly large menu! No dimsum carts here but your own personal orders taken at the table and delivered to you hot and straight from the kitchen! Apart from dimsum, they have a wonderfully large regular menu of Chinese dishes. Wonderful! 10 stars! Looking forward to our next visit!
